Just days after a warning by Durbanville police for cyclists to remain wary, yet another has been robbed.

According to a report by Durbanville police spokesperson, Captain Marchell Rhode, a cyclist was robbed of his Fugi bicycle and his Tom Tom watch to the value of R31 000 on Klipheuwel Road near Durmonte. Rhode says the incident took place on Monday 2 January at 05:15.

“According to the complainant he was cycling on the Klipheuwel Road when he was confronted by three unknown males. Two of the suspects threatened him with knives and took his bicycle and watch. At this stage no arrest has been made. A case of robbery is being investigated.”

Last week Durbanville police issued a warning after a cyclist was robbed by two suspects in Wellington Road.
