A woman, believed to be in her 50s, was killed after a bus and a Corsa utility bakkie collided on the corner of R27 and Ocean Way, Sunset Beach on Thursday.
“When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene at 17:30, they found the woman still in the vehicle,” ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen says.
She says the woman was extricated from the vehicle and CPR was immediately initiated.
“Unfortunately, despite paramedics’ best efforts the woman succumbed to her injuries and was declared dead on the scene.”
Van Huyssteen says the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known to their paramedics but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
