A woman has been killed and two others injured this morning after a minibus and light motor vehicle collided in Blue Downs.
According to a report from ER24 paramedics, the incident occurred in Vanilla Road.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says on arrival, paramedics found the Metro services already in attendance.
“Upon closer inspection, paramedics found a woman lying along the pavement while two men were found walking around on the scene. Paramedics assessed the woman, believed to be in her early 30s, and found that she had sustained numerous fatal injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the woman and she was declared dead on the scene.”
He says the two men on the scene were assessed by paramedics and one man was found critically injured while the second was found in a serious condition.
“Paramedics treated both patients and immediately initiated advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patients were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.”
