Kraaifontein police arrested a 28-year-old woman for dealing in drugs on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana says police acted on information they received from the community about drugs being sold at an address in Bharu Street, Wallacedene.
“A search was conducted by the police and they discovered plastic bags containing 216 parcels of dagga as well as two bags containing dagga worth an estimated street value of R33 500,” she says.
The woman will make a court appearance on Monday, 31 July in the Kuils River Magistrates’ court facing a charge of dealing in drugs.
The police wish to thank the community for their assistance in providing information which could lead to an arrest and taking drugs off our streets.
