National police commissioner, Bheki Cele, took a trip to Makhaza in Khayelitsha this afternoon, 6 July, to visit the family of slain Delft police constable, Vuyo Kosani.
The 22-year-old policeman was off duty when he was shot in the head while spending a night with friends at a hang out spot in Mfuleni on the evening of 4 July. He died later in hospital.
Cele urged anyone who might have witnessed the incident to come forward.
“The best reward will be putting criminals in jail and having a better society to live in,” said Cele.
He said attacks on police officers are disturbing and should not happen.
