UPDATE: Police looking for four suspects after cellphone shop robbery

He says the men took cellphones and fled the scene in three vehicles of which one was a Mercedes-Benz.


The Vodacom shop at Zevenwacht Mall fell
victim to armed robbers this morning. (Thursday
16 November).

Kuils River police spokesperson, Captain Isaac van Niekerk
says that four men walked into the shop at about
09:40 and instructed the manager to give them cellphones.

“There was one customer, the manager and two assistants inside the shop at the time. Two of the men
were armed,” he
says.

He says the men took cellphones and fled the scene in three vehicles of which one was a Mercedes-Benz.

The value of the stolen cellphones has not yet been
determined by police, but according to a
TygerBurger source the shop was nearly emptied.

Van Niekerk said that no one was injured but the customer
and staff were left traumatised and received counselling
by the Victim Support Unit.
