Ravensmead resident Marceline Spandiel (11), who was reported
missing, was found unharmed in Parow on Tuesday 24 July.
According to provincial police spokesperson Sergeant
Noloyiso Rwexana, Spandiel was found by community members who were assisting
police with the search.
“The child was found unharmed yesterday at Parow railway
lines and was taken to a safe house after community members spotted her in the
area and alerted the police,” Rwexana tells TygerBurger.
Rwexana previously revealed that the girl disappeared after
she was last seen with her twin brother at Belhar train station on Tuesday 10
July.
“She told him to get on the train with her and he refused
and she left without him.” She adds: “I am very glad she was found unharmed.”
