Two women were held at knife-point during a house robbery in
Welgemoed yesterday, 28 June.
According to Bellville police spokesperson,
Lieutenant-Colonel Fienie Nimb, a young woman was working in her garden at
about 11:30 when she was approached by an unknown man armed with a knife.
“The man forced the young lady into her house and ordered
her to lead him to the safe,” says Nimb.
“Unaware of the robbery, the woman’s mother arrived home and
was also locked up.”
Nimb says the man fled wit a laptop,
camera and an undisclosed amount of cash.
He is still at large and police are investigating.
