A delivery man was killed by two Pitbulls this morning (Thursday 29 June) in Kalksteenfontein.
The incident occurred as the 57-year-old man was delivering advertisement leaflets in the area.
According to Bishop Lavis police spokesperson Samantha Adonis, the attack happened in Uintjie Street at about 11:30.
“It is alleged that the man delivers advertising papers weekly in the area. As he tried to enter a premises on Uintjie Street, someone informed him not to enter because the dogs were running loose on the property for security reasons,” Adonis says.
However, despite the warnings the man still entered the enclosed property and played with the one Pitbull but the other Pitbull came running from behind the man.
“The dog chased after the man and as he tried to run out of the property by the gate, the dogs jumped on him and attacked and killed him in the street,” Adonis says.
