Two elderly women were hospitalised this morning following a serious head-on collision on Klipheuwel Road at the Philadelphia turn-off.
Titanium Securitas Medical Response received multiple emergency calls at approximately 11:00 regarding the motor vehicle accident, which involved two vehicles.
Upon arrival, emergency services discovered two elderly female patients trapped inside one of the vehicles. Rescue teams worked carefully to extricate both women from the wreckage.
Once freed, both patients were stabilised at the scene before being transported to nearby hospitals for further medical treatment. The occupants of the second vehicle were fortunate to escape with only minor injuries.
Multiple emergency services responded to assist with the incident, including Metro EMS, ER24, and the City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services.
