Police are
investigating a case of culpable homicide after two young girls were killed in
what is believed to have been a hit-and-run incident.
Police
spokesperson, Captain Frederick van Wyk, says police arrived at the scene of
the incident in Botfontein Road in Kraaifontein where the two girls, aged two
and 14, were declared dead on the scene.
ER24
spokesperson, Russel Meiring, says when paramedics arrived at the scene, they
found the lifeless bodies of the two deceased lying in the left-hand lane of
the road.
“Paramedics
assessed both children and found that they had sustained numerous injuries and
showed no signs of life,” Meiring says.
