Three train
carriages caught fire at the Century City train station on Monday afternoon (20
November).
The City of
Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Services responded to the fire at around 12:00,
spokesperson Theo Layne says.
He says
there are no injuries to report.
“As a
result of the fire, surrounding vegetation has caught alight, but there is no
further danger to surrounding properties.”
Layne says
the cause of the fire is undetermined.
