Three children died in a fire in Wallacedene during the early hours of yesterday morning.
“The City’s fire and rescue service was alerted at about 06:30 of the informal houses on fire in Pietersen Road.
“Crews from Kraaifontein and Brackenfell fire stations were dispatched and it was just after 07:00 that they found the bodies of three children, a boy, a girl and one whose gender has not yet been determined,” says fire and rescue spokesperson, Jermaine Carelse.
The fire of which the cause has not yet been determined, was extinguished just after 08:00.
Three informal houses were destroyed.
