A Brooklyn store manager was hit with a firearm on Monday after the store was robbed by three gunmen.

Police spokesperson Constable Lorencial Johnson says just after noon, three unknown men entered the store in Da Gama Road.

He says a customer who was in the store at the time was pushed out of the way by the robbers while the store manager was hit with a firearm.

The robbers fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and several boxes of cigarettes.

At this stage no arrests have been made and police are calling on anyone with information on the incident to call Maitland police on 021 506 9400 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
