Luke Davids, the Blitz from Belhar, is the number one u.18
100m athlete in Africa.

Davids yesterday (Wednesday 25 July) took home the gold in
the u.18 100m race at the All Africa Youth Games in Algeria.

Davids, who attends Parow High School, completed the race in
a time of 10.34 seconds.

“Being number 1 in Africa is an amazing feeling and I
couldn’t ask for much better,” says Davids.

“I’m hoping to grab a second gold in the 200m,” he says.

The All African Youth Games started on Wednesday 18 July.

Davids was also crowned the u.18 200m gold medallists at the
CAA Southern Regional Youth Championships in Johannesburg earlier this year.
