A 19-year-old gangster was gunned down in Leonsdale this morning (Thursday 9 March).
Elsies River police spokesperson, Captain Daphne O’Reilly, says at 08:10 police were called to a shooting in Boater Close.
She says the Jason Joseph (19) who is a member of the Bad Boys gang, was approached by three men who are members of the Terribles gang.
“One of the suspects was armed and opened fire on the victim who was standing with his friends in the road. The victim ran into a nearby house.”
Joseph was shot in his lower body and declared dead on the scene. O’Reilly says seven cartridges were found on the scene and police are now investigating the murder.
