Ward 50 Councillor Angus McKenzie has called on residents to
take extreme caution and stay indoors to ensure safety as taxis are blocking
off the entrance of Bonteheuwel at Bluegum and Bonteheuwel avenues.
He says this is due to the murder of an alleged gangster
yesterday.
“This morning we have seen a huge escalation of that
shooting, possibly in revenge of the murder.
“I can confirm that all law enforcement agencies are on the
scene. Also taxi and transport services have been suspended due to the
shooting.
“I want to make it abundantly clear to residents not to seek
spectator value on this violence, but rather to stay indoors and ensure that
children and yourself are safe,” says McKenzie.
