Brackenfell police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a taxi driver allegedly shot at a Brackenfell woman driving on Bottelary Road.
The woman (37) was driving to work in her Silver Toyota yesterday (8 February) at about 07:45 when the incident occurred.
“As she was turning left onto Bottelary Road there were taxis passing her on the gravel road and one allegedly hooted at her. She heard a weird sound but did not pay much attention to it at the time and continued to work. When she arrived at her place of work in Kuilsriver, she wanted to put something in the boot and she saw, what looked like a gunshot in the boot of her vehicle,” says police spokesperson Captain Erica Crous.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
The investigation continues.
