Elsies River police have made an appeal for witnesses to come forward after a gambling outlet in Halt Road was burgled four times in recent months.
Police spokesperson, Captain Daphne O’Reilly, says Go-Bet was burgled three times in January and once in February.
“In all these incidents entry was gained either through the door, window and in one incident, the roof of the premises.
All the incidents took place during the night between closing time and opening time the next morning from 18:30 to 08:00.”
She says during the burglaries computer equipment, flat screen televisions and a Telkom modem with a combined estimated value of R60 000 was stolen.
O’Reilly says they are now calling on anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or note any suspicious activity near the outlet to call Constable Wayne Brooks on 021 9281400 or 083 270 9709.
“A reward may be offered for any information that can lead to an arrest and successful conviction of the perpetrators,” she said.
