Search for missing school girls

Police say two best friends from De Kuilen High School are missing.


Kuils River police are appealing for help in tracing two school girls from De Kuilen High School who have gone missing.

Police spokesperson, Captain Isaac van Niekerk says Nayoca Plato (17) and Robin van Leeve (19) went missing on Wedensday 1 March. 

He says according to video footage, they were last seen at about 07:15 near MacDonald’s at the corner of Kerk Street and Van Riebeeck Road in Kuils River.

“They were both wearing school uniform that entails a white school shirt, green shirt, with socks and black shoes.” 

Plato weighs about 65kg and her height is about 1.7m. Van Leeve weighs is about 50kg and her height is about 1.7m. Both girls are slender build.

“According to information gained through the investigation thus far, the two girls are best friends. Robin is from Bellville and Nayoca from Kuils River.”
