Springbok flyhalf Handré Pollard and his wife Marise celebrated the arrival of a baby daughter at Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt in Bellville on Monday 20 October.

The hospital announced the joyful news, continuing their heartwarming tradition of having new fathers raise a flag outside the facility to mark the occasion, and in a clearly-proud Pollard’s case, pink.

Handré and Marise Pollard welcome their baby daughter at Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt in Bellville, where Marise was also born.

“Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt would like to congratulate Handré and Marise Pollard on the newest addition to their family,” the hospital stated.

The hospital itself, incidentally, continues a family tradition, for Marise herself was also born there.

The Pollards are now a family of four, with a little boy named Hunter also included. The rugby star’s latest “baby bok” is the cherry on top for the Pollard family following the South African squad’s recent victory over Argentina in England.
