The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate advises residents, road users and businesses in Belhar, Delft and Epping Industria 2 of roadworks along sections of various roads over the next month.

Work will take place on weekdays from 07:30 to 17:00. The project started and if all goes according to plan should be completed by Wednesday 23 April.

Residents can expect some noise during this time. “Our teams will be resurfacing these roads in Belhar and Delft and will also repair kerbs, channels and manhole tie-ins. The benefit of resurfacing our roads includes improved road-safety conditions and riding quality for residents in the area. In Epping Industria we will be installing guardrails which will enhance motorist and pedestrian safety along the busy Bofors Circle.

“Congestion is expected in these areas and we recommend that the public factor in longer travel time or consider alternative routes,” said the City’s Mayco member for urban mobility, Rob Quintas. “We thank you for your patience while the teams work to complete these works as soon as possible. It is our job to provide well-maintained roads across our road network to keep Cape Town moving.”
