The resurfacing of roads in Kleinvlei, Eerste River and Kuils River has commenced and is scheduled to continue until 18 December, weather permitting and if all goes according to plan.

The City’s Roads Infrastructure Management Director, Hilton Scholtz, and Mayco member for Urban Mobility Rob Quintas and fellow councillors Ursula Barends and Frans Sauls visited Eerste River to assess the progress of the ongoing roadworks. “To keep Cape Town moving the City must carry out essential road-resurfacing projects,” Quintas said. “I’d like to thank residents and road users for their patience and understanding while this important work takes place. In Eerste River the roads are being resurfaced with new asphalt layers, damaged kerbs are being replaced, and all road markings will be reinstated once the project is complete. We’re pleased that the work has started smoothly and look forward to improved road conditions once it’s finished.”
