An increase in the number of house break-ins has been noted in the Melkbosstrand area, Melkbosstrand Community Police Forum (CPF) says.

“It’s vital that you take steps to secure your home and ensure that windows and doors etc are locked especially when going to bed. If possible, alarms should be installed and activated and nothing should be a temptation to these criminals.

Reporting crime immediately to the police is very important too as we have more successes when crimes are reported as soon as you become aware,” says CPF chair, Samie Kleynhans.
