President High School has proudly launched the “President Cares” initiative to aid learners and their families who lost everything in a devastating fire that happened on Monday 19 August.

In this fire a 5-year-old girl lost her life and plenty were left without shelter. The fire broke out in Parow, on the corner of Tallent Street and Voortrekker Road.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contribute,” said Ericha Koorts of the school’s marketing department. “President High School’s dedicated learners and their parents, Parow West Primary School, Deli Spices and the entire community. Their generosity and compassion have made a significant difference, and we sincerely appreciate their support.”

Koorts wants to thank everyone for their compassion and generosity.

The following were collected already: bedding, clothing, toys, food and toiletries.

If anyone would like to contribute further, please drop off any additional donations at President High School, which will ensure they are delivered to those in need.
