Residents
in Durbanville town centre must prepared for an interruption to their
electricity supply this coming Sunday 4 February.
The City of
Cape Town issued a notice that the electricity supply will be interrupted from
07:00 to 14:00 in an area between Oxford Street and Koeberg Street for
five-yearly maintenance.
The area
affected are all properties between Queen Street and Plataan Road north of
Vissershok and Main Road, including the Durbanville High School, as well
as the area between Koeberg Road and Queen Street, and between Oxford and
Biccard Street - excluding some premises. It also excludes the area between
Langenhoven and Queen Street between Main Road and Gladstone Street (Kwikspar
and Spiro’s Corner). See map.
Residents
are warned to treat all electricity installations as live for the full duration
of the interruption as the electricity supply may be restored at any time
without warning.
