Durbanville police are searching for the owner of stolen property found in Morningstar recently.

According to a statement by police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Theo Fisher, on Tuesday 6 December, officers confiscated two pairs of Garrison infra-red sensor beam 1k-25hd units from a suspect.

According to the police the goods are brand new and were still in boxes.

Fisher says the suspect has numerous convictions for property-related crimes and says while the suspect gave officers an explanation of where he got the goods from, detectives have established that the information is not completely true.

Police are seeking help tracing the owner of the goods. “It is suspected that this property was either stolen from a security company or from someone’s property before it could be installed.”

For identification purposes, no images of the goods may be published.
