Police search for fraudster

Police say this man used a stolen credit card to purchase various items valued at R34 000.


Maitland police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly made fraudulent purchases at a Brooklyn store to the value of R34 000.

Police spokesperson, Constable Lorencial Johnson, says on 8 November this man entered a store inside a mall in Koeberg Road and purchased a 55 inch television, double door fridge and a silver washing machine with a credit card.

Johnson says it was later discovered that the items were purchased with a stolen card.

“Assistance is needed from the public in order to identify the person in the picture as he can help the police to solve this case.”
