Brackenfell police have pounced on alleged drug dealers in Stellenridge, Bellville, and confiscated a large amount of drugs with an estimated street value of R30 000.
Brackenfell police spokesperson, Captain Erica Crous, says on Wednesday 21 December sector managers Warrant Officer Terence Nortje and Constable Rouan Scheepers were busy with patrols in Protea Heights at about 12:00, when they spotted a suspicious vehicle at Turnberry Estate in Birdie Close.
She says as house break-ins are a problem in this area, they approached the driver.
“The 27-year-old man got out of his vehicle and one of the officers saw something lying on the driver’s seat floor. On closer inspection they found it to be drugs. The man was arrested for possession of drugs.”
Crous explains the suspect could not give his address, but told officers that he can show them where he lives.
“For confirmation of address they accompanied him to a residence in Stellenridge. Once there, they found large amounts of ecstasy, cocaine, magic mushrooms, MDMA, dagga and cannabis oil; street value estimated at approximately R30 000. A large amount of cash was also confiscated.”
She says in addition, two men aged 23 and 27 who were found at the residence, were arrested and charged with dealing in drugs.
