The 37-year-old woman who allegedly abducted an eight-month-old Kraaifontein baby this week, has been arrested.
Earlier this week, provincial police issued a statement saying they were on the hunt for Marinda Julies, who they believe abducted Lucas Cedras on Tuesday.
Cedras was allegedly taken from his grandmother’s home by Julies, who then disappeared with him.
Police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk says Julies was arrested at 10:00 on Friday morning (13 January).
Cedras had been returned to his family the previous day, unharmed.
Julies is expected to appear in the Kuils River Magistrate’s Court on Monday 16 January.
