One person was left dead and two others were injured when they were shot at on Monday (10 July) afternoon.
The shooting took place in Parow.
According to Parow police spokesperson, Captain Kevin Williams the shooting happened around 12:00.
“Prior to this shooting another incident happened in Elsies Rivier earlier that morning between two gangs. Apparently the shooting incident between two rival gangs of Elsies Rivier erupted again on the corner of Franzie van Zyl Drive and Connaught Road in Parow.
Williams said as a result of the shooting one person was shot in the chest and died as a result of his injuries.
“The second person was shot in the leg and the third one was shot in the hand.”
Williams said the suspects are still at large and no one has been arrested.
Police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder.
