A murder investigation is under way after the body of a 75-year-old man was discovered in his home in Sceptre Crescent, Flamingo Vlei, Table View on Wednesday evening.

According to Table View Police spokesperson Capt Adriana Chandler an armed-response officer attended the property after a wellness request was made.

“On arrival the officer received no response from the homeowner. He found a sliding door ajar and, after calling out and receiving no answer, entered one of the bedrooms where he discovered the body of a 75-year-old male with his hands and feet bound. The person was declared dead at the scene.”
