Inga Mafenuka (22) from Khayelitsha and ‘The Cape Quads’
will be discharged from Tygerberg Hospital later this week.
The quadruplets were born on Friday 6 July through a
Caesarean and weighed 980 g, 1 010 g, 830 g and 1 030 g respectively and have
since doubled in weight. They are now weighing 2 040 g, 1 770 g, 1 580 g, 1 980
g.
The new mom says she is overwhelmed by the generosity of the
people of Mzansi who opened their hearts to myself and my babies.
“A big thank you to all the staff who looked after me and my
babies, from my appointments to the delivery. I am very grateful to each and
every one of you, especially the gynaecologists, neonatology, anaesthetists,
theatre and nursing staff,” says
Mafenuka.
