A man was left seriously injured on Thursday morning (25 January) when he was knocked off his motorbike by a car on Amandal Road in Kuils River.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says paramedics arrived on the scene to find the vehicles on the opposite sides of the road.
“The man was found lying approximately 10 metres away from his motorbike.”
He says paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries, leaving him in a serious condition.
“The man was treated for his injuries and was provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Mediclinic Cape Gate for urgent treatment. The driver of the light motor vehicle, fortunately, escaped injury,” says Meiring.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
