Man’s body found near Drostdy Park canal: Police seek community assistance

A man’s body was discovered near the canal in Drostdy Park, Kuils River this morning (Saturday 18 January).


A man’s body was discovered
near the canal in Drostdy Park, Kuils River this morning (Saturday 18 January).

Sector commander WO Andries Binedell from Kuils River police says a passerby
came upon the deceased African man in the early hours of the morning and
notified the police.

“The deceased is estimated to be around 25 to 30 years old. He was wearing overall pants and safety boots.” Binedell adds the man had a visible head injury that could have caused
his death, but this is yet to be confirmed awaiting postmortem results.

Kuils River police are asking
the community for assistance to establish the man’s identity and
for anyone with information on what happened to come forward.
