Man shot multiple times in Epping Forest dies


Elsies River police are investigating the murder of a 48-year-old man who was shot and killed in Epping Forest this morning, Friday 24 February.

According to Elsies River police spokesperson Captain Daphne O’Reilly, the incident occurred at about 11:00 on the corners of Owen and Fairmead roads.

O’Reilly says the victim, Abraham Kock, was shot multiple times in the upper body and legs and died as a result of his wounds.

“According to his brother, Kock was not involved with any gangs or a gangster, but was a tik user,” she says.

The circumstances surrounding the incident is under investigation and it is unconfirmed if it is gang related.
