A 49-year-old man succumbed to serious injuries to his legs
after a man-driven crane drove over him at an industrial company in Stikland in
Bellville yesterday (Monday 28 May).
Upon assessment, it was determined the man had suffered
serious injuries to his upper and lower legs, according to ER24 spokesperson,
Russel Meiring.
“He was in a critical condition and was treated for the
injuries while advanced life support interventions were provided to him,”
Meiring said.
The man was then rushed to hospital for urgent treatment,
where he died.
“After some time in hospital, the man finally succumbed to
his injuries,” Meiring concluded.
