These are the words from Police Minister Bheki Cele at the 2022-’23 Western Cape Police Excellence Awards, where members were recognised for their hard work and dedication.

The awards ceremony was held at the Century City Conference Centre on Saturday 11 November, when various police officers, police stations and community policing forums (CPFs) were honoured.

The Table View CPF was named the first runner-up CPF of the year in the Western Cape.

Cingiwe Ngoxoza from the Forensic Science Laboratory was one of the nominees at the Western Cape Excellence Awards.

In the build-up to 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children the police confirmed at the event there will be no tolerance for such behaviour.

The Table View Police Station kicks off its annual 16 days of Activism event on Wednesday 29 November.

The march will start at 09:00 from the Table View Police Station parking lot to Church on the Rise in Blouberg Rise (along the R27).
