Help police seek find suspects linked to precious metals heist

Ravensmead police is seeking the assistance of the public to trace four unidentified suspects who unlawfully entered a business premises near Cape Town International Airport and fled with precious metals in the early hours of Saturday 25 January.


Ravensmead police is seeking the assistance of the public to trace four unidentified suspects who unlawfully entered a business premises near Cape Town International Airport and fled with precious metals in the early hours of Saturday 25 January.

The theft amounts to around R200 million.

Reports suggest that the persons of interest illegally gained entrance to the premises by destroying the existing fence and entered the cargo section of the business premises where they proceeded to open the vault and emerged with bags containing precious metals.

The suspects wore balaclavas and had their hands covered with gloves.

They fled the scene in an unknown direction.
