The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) in the Western Cape is urging all individuals who invested in the Kleuterzone Group of companies to come forward and assist with the ongoing probe. At least 30 cases have already been opened across the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Free State, and Gauteng, and are currently under active investigation.
Spokesperson for the Hawks Lt. Col. Christopher Singo says the office of the Serious Commercial Crime Unit of the Hawks in the Western Cape became inundated with several complaints from individuals who alleged that they had invested funds in the Kleuterzone Group of companies, which they suspect they had been defrauded of by its founder and sole director, Anthonie Bougas.
All cases involving Kleuterzone are being centralized for investigation by the Hawks in the Western Cape.
“Over a 1000 people invested an estimated R550 million in more than 120 Kleuterzone schools nationally,” says Singo.
He says all cases involving Kleuterzone are being centralized for investigation by the Hawks in the Western Cape.

Investors or victims who have already reported the matter to the police are requested to provide their case numbers and the name of the station where they reported and the assigned investigating officer.
Acting provincial head, Brig. Mushavhaduvha Ramovha is assuring the public that these cases will be given the attention they deserve and bring the perpetrators to book.
