With the rehabilitation of the lawn at Eden on the Bay in full swing, the Big Bay Master Property Owner’s Association (BBMPOA) says visitors will soon start to make use of the lawn area.
The landscaping and maintenance team have been a daily presence and since their last update, there has already been a big improvement to the grass.
Extra seeds have been sown, another batch of natural fertiliser has been applied and additional watering measures continue in the areas that need it most.
“The lawn has responded well to the TLC and we look forward to happier, greener grass going forward. The demarcated areas have, and will remain, and we ask everyone to please stay out of these rehabilitation zones. We look forward to continued success and constant improvement,” the BBMPOA says.
Rehabilitation will start by cordoning off areas to bounce back, aerate and apply a natural fertiliser. “We kindly ask you to respect the demarcated areas and keep off the grass.”
Additional scheduled activities include getting the water used for irrigation tested, as well as performing a soil sample analysis to ascertain what the lawn currently needs, and the best way to get it back to being healthy and happy.
The City of Cape Town will assist with some extra services to assist us in the rehabilitation, the organisation says.
