Goodwood police station has installed new CCTV footage cameras. Ones which include audio and can record during loadshedding.

According to John Ross, chair of the Goodwood Community Policing Forum (CPF), the CPF responded to a request from the station commander at Goodwood and arranged a sponsorship with Goodwood Armed Patrols (GAP) for the supply and installation of six CCTV cameras in the charge office and entrance to the station.

Ross claimed that this installation will improve service delivery.

Capt Wayne Theunis, communications officer, confirmed that internal camera installations have been done at Goodwood Police Station that has no crime prevention purpose, but will improve service delivery.

Ross gave thanks to Goodwood Armed Patrols for their sense of community involvement.
