The B-All Transformation programme recently concluded its eight-week intensive learning journey at Goodwood College, culminating in a graduation ceremony that celebrated the achievements of 18 students.

This transformational and life-changing programme focused on changing the students’ mindset to approach school with an enthusiastic outlook.

The programme’s pillars included teaching students the significance of reading as a skill, with a focus on learning a new word daily to improve vocabulary. A key aspect of the programme is language development, with a strong emphasis on reading and vocabulary building.

The slogan “readers are leaders” resonates throughout every session, encouraging students to cultivate a love for reading and expand their vocabulary. Students are challenged to learn one new word daily, fostering a habit of lifelong learning and intellectual curiosity.

Additionally, emphasis was placed on public speaking and cultivating good school habits.

Good school habits are an essential component of the programme, equipping students with the skills and routines necessary to achieve academic success. By instilling discipline, time management, and organisational skills, the B-All programme sets students up for long-term success.

Inspiring interactions

As part of the programme, students had the privilege of connecting with Andrea Stelzer, a former Miss South Africa and Miss Germany, during the Women’s Day celebrations in August.

This interaction provided students with a unique opportunity to learn from a successful role model.

Students who participated in the programme have reported a significant impact on their lives, with many experiencing increased confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

‘Life-changing experience’

Nahum Gertse, a Grade 8 learner, said: “This has been an amazing life-changing experience. I feel confident that we are going to excel in our schooling and respective careers.”

Angelique Whittaker, another student, shared her newfound love for public speaking, saying: “Before this programme, I never used to like public speaking, now I love it as my confidence has blossomed.”

A special guest’s perspective

Marilyn Jonkers, one of the special guests who attended the ceremony, described the event as “historical”, saying, “The transformation of the students was seen as the knowledge acquired by the B-All Transformation programme was applied, and the success was memorable to witness.”

The graduation ceremony was made even more special with a magical performance by Regardt Laubscher, one of South Africa’s top magicians.

Pizza Familia sponsored lunch for the students, while Vic Bay sponsored T-shirts which were branded courtesy of CitiPrint.

The ceremony provided a fitting conclusion to an exciting learning adventure, marking the beginning of a brighter future for the students.

The B-All Transformation programme has made a lasting impact on the students who participated, and its success is a testament to the power of dedicated learning and personal growth.
