An 11-year-old girl and a woman (42) were caught in the crossfire between rival gangs in Elsies River on Sunday 19 February.
Police spokesperson Captain Daphne O’Reilly says gangsters opened fire on a store in Leonsdale injuring the two bystanders, who have since been taken to a nearby hospital.
“The girl is in a serious condition. The shooting occurred between members of the Terribles and Bad Boy gangs,” she says.
