The 120 women are from across the ward.

Women could have their feet done for a bit of pampering.
The women were treated to a multi-course meal.
Ward 82 councillor, Washiela Harris, also joined the event and got the residents moving to the song “Die Here het my mooi gemaak”.

Hosted on Friday 16 August by Ward Councillor Joan Woodman in conjunction with the Provincial Parliament and Witaker Peace and Development Project, the women were treated to a multi-course lunch and could even get a pedicure.
Woodman says the women were invited from across the ward and were made up of seniors clubs, community workers and organisation leaders.
Speakers included Minister for Arts Culture and Sport in the province, Ricardo Mackenzie, Christine Stone of Dementia SA support group and Kayla Jenecker.
