A motorist traveling along West Coast Road helped to stop a vegetation fire from spreading in Table View.
According to a report from the City of Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Services, the fire started at 13:07 and has since been extinguished.
Table View Ratepayers’ Association (TVRA) chairperson Mandy Da Matta was on site and says a man only known as Allan saw the fire and stopped.
“He was driving when he saw the fire and called the fire department. he then started to extinguished the fire while he waited for firefighters. He is the real hero of the day.”
