A fire has broken out at a construction site along Plattekloof Road. Motorist Tanya Slabbert says she noticed the fire at 15:45 near the Plattekloof Shopping Centre.
According to a report from City Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson, Tracey Whittaker, it is a vegetation fire which started shortly after 15:00 on Wednesday (1 March).
She says 12 firefighters, two fire engines and one water tanker are currently on scene.
“The cause of the fire is undetermined at this stage,” says Whittaker.
