The community of The Hague in Delft was recently excited to see a live action motion-picture production being filmed at a famous fruit-and-vegetable outlet in Delft Main Road.
This forms part of a youth-group exercise that promotes a positive life-changing experience for talented members of the community.
Sharmeala Arnold, a well-known front-runner for community youth projects in Delft, said being part of building a firm foundation for talent and expression of passion makes a great difference on how youth can grow their skills and abilities through various programmes. “Opportunities are rare resulting in lack of interest,” she said. “However, investing in the creative arts by giving people a platform to showcase their work can jump-start their eagerness to explore.”
The award winning non-profitable community arts programme, Touched By Style, is filming in various locations in local communities for its new dark-fantasy action short film Death Angel. Its Nic Matthee said the idea was to show the beauty and talent that exists in Delft in Touched By Style’s movies. “I know most news about Delft is bad news, but we want to showcase the good side,” he said.
