Miss L products are now also available outside Africa.

A hair product producer from Elsies River is going from strength to strength and her products are now going international.

TygerBurger reported (“Hair products bring about substantial changes for woman from Elsies River”, 29 March 2023) last year about how Leshme de Bruyn damaged her hair after attempting to die it. To rescue her scalp, she started using products from her own cupboard as hair products.

When the products showed the desired results, De Bruyn was asked by friends to sell some of the products to them. Eventually she created more than eight products and her business started growing.

“My clientele has increased so that I also have regular clients that support me monthly. I still make the products at home because I am a full-time Business Management student. Now I have nine products in total with 12 different combos to suit your hair needs,” says De Bruyn.

Her products are now also available further afield from Elsies River. “My products can also be found online by Cosmetic Connection. They reached out and asked if I would be interested if Miss L products could be sold in their branches. After advertising on all Miss L social media platforms and word of mouth from happy clients I now have agents in Zambia, Botswana and other places in South Africa. All the agents receive commission for the sales they bring in,” says De Bruyn.

After all her success De Bruyn entered an entrepreneurship competition and hopes she can win so that she can use the money to broaden her business.
