Three suspects have been arrested in Bishop Lavis following an armed robbery in Elsies River.
Responding to questions, Elsie River police spokesperson Captain Daphne O’Reilly, says at about 22:20 on Sunday (12 February) three men stormed the Engen garage in Halt Road.
She says one of the men held a 25-year-old man by gunpoint and demanded money. A shot was fired at the counter and the 25-year-old man opened the till.
O’Reilly says two of the robbers took cellphones and cigarettes while the armed robber took money from the till.
The three suspects, she says, were arrested on the same day.
